Some sweet moments

Tuesday 30 December 2008 @ 6:58 pm

Time flies fast, Marcus will turn 3 years old next month. He likes to stick to me like glue, as I am be with him 24/7. I will explain to him if I want to go out. He understands and won’t get angry or throw a tantrum. But he will keep saying MUMMY, MUMMY and looking for me. He will give me a big smile when I’m back, but not when his daddy comes back from work. Hubby envy me, but what to do, mummy is the best and care person in the world. LOL!!! (I mean all mummies too).

I bought him his favourite KFC chicken for his lunch today. I went upstair to take something while he is having the yummy drumstick downstair. My mother in law told me that Marcus insisted to give me another drumstick for me and no one can eat it. My heart melted when I heard it.

Marcus : Mama (his grandmother), you eat already, this one for mummy, cannot eattttt…..

One night, when hubby is lying on the bed like a big T while I’m in the washroom, this little boy asked his daddy go away, like this how mummy sleep, how? (showing his hands opened and pointed to the bed). Hubby shocked to hear it.

Bento Fun #21 : Christmas In A’Famosa Resort

Monday 29 December 2008 @ 6:34 pm

We supposed to start our journey earlier, but we woke up late because of the alarm clock. Afterall, mummyinvain and her family also woke up late that day. I know the journey will take us few hours, so I quickily got myself prepared and fixed bentos. These are the simple bentos that I prepared as I’m really run out of time.

For Marcus : fried egg bread in bears, flowers and rabbits shaped, persimmon, korea strawberries and corn

For hubby and I : corn, strawberries, cherry tomatoes and pineapple

After checked in, we took our lunch before proceed to visit to other places in A’Famosa Resort. It is so huge that we need to take a car when we go one place to another place.  Hubby is complaining about the place once we reached. It’s true, I also don’t like it but since we never been there before and paid, we just enjoyed ourselves.

No air conditioner in the lobby

Our package include two days one night stay with the tickets of animal world safari and carnival show. We thought to go to the safari zoo, but it will close in about half an hour when we reach, so we went there the next morning.

We walked around and went in to the souvenir shop. You can take photo with a snake when you purchase above RM10.

Photo with snake…..aiyeee….

I can’t snap more photos as my camera is out of power and the charger is spoilt. As for our dinner, I started get bored when I dine in the steak house in Cowboy Town. The food not good and every expensive too.

No entry, but they’re still go in….

We managed to catch up with the carnival show on time after dinner, but Marcus cried when the show starts because the sound of the shooting gun. He refused to go in again. Gosh, we missed the 30 minutes show but brought him walked around.

Pretend riding on the horse ???

Riding on the poney, poney, poney, riding on the poney, here we go……

Kids don’t want to get down after the ride

Marcus felt excited with the huge toy cars, he wanted to take home. Of course we didn’t buy any for him. He has too many toy cars at home.

Kids celebrating Christmas :-D

The next day, we went to the Animal world safari. The zoo is great, but of course it can’t be compared with the one in Singapore or Bangkok.  I felt bored to walk around, same as hubby. May be we have visited too many zoo. We have chicken rice as our breakfast as most of the stalls are open in the afternoon. Next time when you go there, don’t expect that you can enjoy good food.

After the visit to the zoo, we went to KL for lunch and shopping. We managed to see the christmas decoration in KL shopping mall.

But the stage decoration is more look like a circus with animals. LOL!!! It’s raining heavily on the way back to Ipoh. We saw many cars broke down along the highway, may be they should check out car insurance quote as to compare their current car insurance policies.

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

Wednesday 24 December 2008 @ 6:46 pm

Here I wish you and your family and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May all your holidays be happy and may you have a year blessed with joy, love, and abundance.

Free watching TV

Tuesday 23 December 2008 @ 6:08 pm

Yes, finally Marcus doesn’t scare when we open tv. He used to cry and scream whenever we opened tv except his own favourite cartoons DVDs. We really don’t know what had happened to him until he is so scare of it. But after some time, he is fine now. We can watch movies and news but have to inform him first. LOL!!!

Last night, I watched HK TVB drama ~ Gem of life with hubby without informed him. He is alright and played by himself. This is another good drama after Moonlight Resonance. While I concentrate watching about a lady went for interview for finance jobs, Marcus came and asked us to close the tv. He said he is tired and it’s time to go sleep. We rather shocked with his words.

He really a big boy now. He will turn 3 years old on the second day of Chinese New Year next year. I wonder if I should throw him a birthday party.

Happy Dong Zhi Festival

Sunday 21 December 2008 @ 5:55 pm

Today is Dongzhi Festival or Winter Solstice Festival. It normally falls on 22 December, but this year is special, which falls one day earlier. I asked my mother to get some for Marcus to roll them into ‘tang yuan’. He was so excited at first to help us but after few minutes, he wanted to come down and looked for something to eat. :-P

But, he is so concentrate when rolling the ‘tang yuan’. He can’t make it round but a long ‘tang yuan’. I asked him what is it and he told me it’s a snake. LOL!!!

Colourful yummy ‘tang yuan’

Hubby and Marcus like to eat but I’m not. Do you like to eat ‘tang yuan’?  After celebrated Dong Zhi with yummy ‘tang yuan’, we will celebrate Chinese New Year in around one month time. LOL!!!

Bento Fun #20

Saturday 20 December 2008 @ 5:52 pm

As usual I will bring Marcus to my parents’ house on every Saturday and Sunday if we don’t travel to outstation. I didn’t go there as hubby and I have something to be settled before 1pm. Thus, I prepared a simple bento so that my kid can eat while we having discussion with others. Marcus finished all except the bread which went into his daddy’s tummy. LOL!!!

Oat bread with strawberry jam, a leftover sausage, kiwis and strawberries

I bought a box of Korea strawberries at Jusco the other day. It costs RM14.90 for just 12 strawberries. Since hubby hardly get it in Cameron Highlands these days due to raining season, so I bought it and have a try.

I failed to cut the sausage nicely using cutter again. I followed the step which my friend taught me, but I couldn’t make it.  May be I cut the sausage too hard before boil it. Well, I will try again next time as I need to go out to meet my hubby.

A night at Jusco

Saturday 20 December 2008 @ 9:48 am

My parents came to visit their grandson on Tuesday night. They brought him to Jusco just for poney rides. When he hear it, he pulled his po po and gong gong out from the house, he can’t wait anymore. LOL!!! He still remembered that his po po, gong gong and kao fu brought him for the rides. He felt extremely happy when he saw those ponies.

His favourite post when taking photo…..

He is so “geh po” looking at other kids

I don’t know why when he finished for the rides, he wanted us to carry him all the way. We take turn as we’re really tired to carry a 12kg kid for more than a minute. My mother and mother in law don’t have to take any weight loss pills if they carry Marcus like that every day. :-P

Oh, superboy eating ice cream…..

But when he asked for ice cream, he automatically wanted to get down. See, he is walking, seeing other things while enjoying the ice cream. His grandparents really spoil him since he was born.

No vacation till next year

Wednesday 17 December 2008 @ 5:00 pm

I don’t think we will go for any vacations till next year. Oh, it’s just two weeks to go before we celebrate new year. We supposed plan to go Langkawi or Pangkor Laut for this coming holiday, but we cancelled our plan at last because hubby is very busy with his business. But if we have make any las vegas hotel reservations, then we must go even if hubby is tie up with his work. LOL!!!

Anyway, we planned to bring our kid to Hong Kong Disneyland next year. Hong Kong is a shopping heaven and hope that I can shop till I drop.  I wonder if my friends will join us too, more people more fun right? But which month is the best travel to Hong Kong?

Bento Fun #19 : Weekend fun

Monday 15 December 2008 @ 6:15 pm

I bought a flower sausage or wiener cutter at 100 Yen shop the other day. I didn’t use it until last Saturday. It’s a very simple bento I made for Marcus as breakfast. The main purpose I fixed this bento as to make use of the sausage cutter, but I failed! So I just simply cut it. :-P

Finally I know what is the reason why I can’t cut it nicely with the sausage cutter. My friend told me that I need to defroze the sausages, cut before boil in the water and the shape will prominent after minutes. Make sure you don’t fry the sausages like what I did.

Fried egg bread, sausage, cheese and ham in bear shaped

After breakfast, we rushed to my parents’ house as hubby needed to take the car for service. I took out the car seat which Marcus didn’t use it for weeks. Surprisingly he sat without making noise. He will behave well if nobody sitting beside him, but if I’m sitting with him, then he will come out from the car seat himself even though I shout and scream like a mad woman. LOL!!!

Enjoying the Vitagen…..

Marcus met his cousin sister, Zhi Qi again. He really like a kor kor even if he doesn’t like to play with those kids who are younger than him. He hold his cousin gently while playing the bumper toy car. I’m not too sure if it is called bumper toy car. Anyway, they enjoyed to play with it.

Mei mei, sit probably, I push you, ok ??

Then, my mother took out a laundry basket and let them to sit in it. Kids are kids and they really happy just to sit inside only.

Suddenly, my mother asked my sister to take up the basket and swing it. Huh, so dangerous but the kids are so excited especially Marcus keeps asking his po po swing him again and again.

We celebrated Marcus’s grandfather 69th birthday at one of the restaurant last night. Again, he played with his cousin sister, Noel who is same age with him, running up and down.

Aiyo, so sweet and adorable…..

blowing candles and cake cutting……

After having so much fun shouting and screaming, guess what, Marcus cried in the middle of the night.

Bento Fun #18 : Masak-masak

Friday 12 December 2008 @ 6:17 pm

Received another batch of my new bento gadgets this morning. LOL!!! Of course I can’t wait to fix a lunch bento for Marcus. He shouted and screamed when he saw his favourite toy car. He thought the car can be played like his other toy cars. :-P

Fried rice with cube carrots, pineapples, beans, corns. I used the alphabet cutter to make a word “LOVE” and placed it on top. Some cherry tomatoes and lettuce, a ham cute shaped rabbit with cheese on top.

He doesn’t want to let go the “car”…..

He finished the fried rice and the ham but not the cherry tomatoes. I keep pushing him to eat cherry tomatoes, but he is more like to play with it. I gave him some grapes after his lunch too.

Hubby knows that I bought bento gadgets again. He told me I can almost buy myself a pair of shoes from the designer Oscar de la Renta if I’m not crazy into bentoing. LOL!!!

Last week, I bought a cooking set for him as he told me that he wants to do “masak-masak”. I know he did played it in school. My MIL, BIL and SIL felt surprised and shocked why I bought this girly toy for him. Come on, boys also can play cooking set right ? I can even teach him the name of the cooking stuffs, he learnt!

I’m making a bento for my mummy….

His bento for me…. :-)

He is so cute when making bento, like putting some pepper, salt and tomatoes sauce into it. Besides that, he even make a cup of coffee, sometimes an orange juice for me. :-D How nice if daddy can get him a big kitchen toy set, so that he has his own “kitchen”.

Bento Fun #17

Wednesday 10 December 2008 @ 5:51 pm

We are back from Jusco and all of us feel tired. We supposed to have some groceries shop, but ended up chasing Marcus like mad with my mother in law and maid. LOL!!!

It’s school holidays now and in less than a month all school will reopen again.  I thought I can fix bento for my kid every day, but I have no time but to entertain him. I bring him out almost every day like go for breakfast, shopping, my parents’ house and etc when hubby is working. At night, we sure will out if hubby is around.

Hubby bought those kuih, don’t know what it called at pasar malam yesterday, so I gave it to my boy. Some cherry tomatoes, organic raisins and half of persimmon. I thought to boil a quail egg too, but my boy desn’t want to eat lately.

I fix him a bento once we back home before taking lunch. He can’t finish the bento of course and some of them are into my stomach. The lettuce I bought this time quite bitter, so I think the rest will put in soup without eating raw.

Anyway, my mother in law complaint about her feet after chasing Marcus at Jusco, but she doesn’t need Plantar Fasciitis at the moment. She is fine after rest.

Our Sunday

Monday 8 December 2008 @ 5:53 pm

We attended my cousin’s wedding and joined for the tea ceremony on Sunday morning. Marcus was appointed to hit the traditional potty, Chinese believed that the couple will give birth to many children later. Besides that, he supposed responsible to open the door for the bride and groom, but my uncle didn’t inform me earlier, so we’re late for the job.

Ready one, two, three…..

With bride & groom and my family

Since Christmas is around the corner, we found a balloon maze at Jusco. Marcus didn’t want to get down, very scare to meet up with strangers these days. But his eyes kept looking at other children playing the balloons. Finally, he decided to come down, kick and play with the balloons.

At night, we went to the wedding dinner where outside still raining heavily. I was rather surprise that Marcus behaved well throughout the dinner. I got to meet up with my other cousins too. We seldom see each other as we’re busy with our family. We manage to meet up when attend relatives’ wedding and on Chinese New Year.

“Yam Seng……..”

Marcus started to get himself involve in the “crowd” during the toasting section.  I think we will receive many wedding invitation next year as most of my cousins have find their loved ones. LOL!!!

Our coming weekend

Friday 5 December 2008 @ 6:12 pm

It will be a long weekend as Hari Raya Haji falls on next monday. It is also a busy weekend for us as we will attend my cousin brother’s wedding. Hubby and I are one of the couples who will join for the tea ceremony, so my sister and brother too.

We thought to skip the wedding as hubby wants to bring us outstation. I’m not agree. May be we might go shopping in KL on Monday. I’m sure all shopping malls are super crowd and hardly to find a parking space that day. Hubby thought he can simply find a place and park our car. I don’t want to see any tire chains when we come out.

Where to go for just a day trip? Stay at home? Of course no. Have to plan something for that day.
